Finance / Accounting – Controller

Job Summary:

The Eagle River Casino and Travel Plazais looking fora Controller with demonstrated knowledge and application of accounting principles and a successful record of supervision. An accounting designation is required.

Responsibilities:

• Conducts and monitors financial accounting and tax matters related to the entire operation.
• Makes certain records and information are secure and confidential.
• Verifies monthly financial statement close.
• Issues timely and accurate financial statements and related reports.
• Develops and improves systems of recording and control.
• Promotes adequate and efficient internal controls.
• Confirms purchases and receipts comply with established guidelines and procedures.
• Initiates, implements and follows through on all procedures designed to provide proper accounting and controls

Requirements:

• This position requires sufficient experience, education and job knowledge to meet current business needs.
• Demonstrated experience with automated accounting systems.
• Accounting Certification/Designation required
• A minimum of 6 years accounting experience
