Eagle River Casino & Travel Plaza is being built by the Alexis Nakota Sioux Nation and Paragon Gaming. The project is comprised of three main components:

• Casino – Open January 2008
  • 39,000 sq.ft. structure housing a restaurant, lounge, conference space, gift shop and gaming floor
  • Gaming floor will open with: 250 slot machines, 12 table games and 6 poker tables
• Convenience Store / Gas bar – Open January 2008
  • 2400 sq.ft. convenience store with shower
  • 50 commercial truck parking stalls upon opening
  • 3 High volume diesel lanes
• Marriott Fairfield Inn & Suites – Open 2009
  • 106 Room Limited Service Hotel
  • Due to construction escalation, recommencement of construction will begin 2008/2009

Once operational in January 2008, the project will employ 206 individuals with a forecasted payroll of $6.5 million.

Upon the Hotel opening in 2009, an additional 28 individuals will be employed with a forecasted additional payroll of $1 million.
