Finance – Info Systems PC Network Tech

Installs, maintains, troubleshoots, upgrades, and configures hardware, software, personal computers, and networks. Makes recommendations regarding hardware and software acquisitions. Prompt and effective problem-solving expertise. Assesses user needs and trains users in successful use of applications. Provides assistance and possesses a helpful, supportive attitude.

Responsibilities:

• Provides technical support for on-site and in-house customers
• Diagnoses and facilitates the repair and maintenance of personal computers
• Installs, configures, and upgrades operating systems and software, using standard business and administrative packages
• Assembles, installs, and configures computers, network infrastructure and peripherals such as printers, scanners and related hardware
• Troubleshoots problems with computer systems, including troubleshooting hardware and software, e-mail, network and peripheral equipment
• problems; makes repairs and corrections where required
• Installs network configurations
• Installs and maintains network systems in a LAN setting; performs basic network administration and security functions ensuring system integrity and security
• Performs networking installation by pulling cables and rewiring as required for new installations and office reconfiguration
• Assists with the planning, design, research and acquisition of new or upgraded hardware and software systems; maintains current knowledge of hardware, software and network technology and recommends modifications as necessary

Requirements:

• Minimum of two year experience in a work related environment. A working knowledge of networking technology beneficial
